Reports today say that Ricky Williams signed with the Baltimore Ravens. Ray Rice has excelled since he was drafted out of Rutgers a few short years ago. Each year he has had to stand by as McGahee and McClain stole all the Mc carries. I’m not saying Rice couldn’t handle the load himself but don’t fix what isn’t broken. Bringing in Ricky Williams to replace McGahee means Rice will stay in the same split carry role he has become a top 10 stud at RB. Williams will most likely not get as many carries as McGahee used to. But look out early in the season as he may become a TD vulture.
Fantasy Impact: Ray Rice is still a top 5-10 RB and should be drafted as such. Rice owners should reach a little early in the later rounds to handcuff him with Williams.
