Derrick Mason to the Jets

Derek Mason is the newest member of the Jets this offseason. He will most likely play as the slot receiver alongside Plaxico Burress returning from an extended vacation and the speedy Santonio Holmes. Following the release of Jericho Cotchery and Braylon Edwards the Jets filled (and potentially improved) their talent at wide out. Plaxico definitely has the talent to compete. He just has to get the rust shaken off and, with Rex Ryan’s mouth, he better be able to shake it off quickly. Derrick Mason is a seasoned vet but his age may become a factor down the stretch. The only question now is if Mark Sanchez can break out into a legitimate NFL caliber quarterback.
