Chad Ochocinco told the media on Tuesday that since he isn’t acclimated to the Foxborough area he would spend his first few weeks as a Patriot living with a fan. He hasn’t released how exactly he plans on doing this but knowing Ocho it will probably be something BIG and something involving Twitter. But he won’t just be moving into any fan’s house. His two requirements: Internet (umm duh) and an Xbox. So some lucky fan in Foxborough, excuse me, “Heaven”, will be getting the opportunity to hit the virtual gridiron with one of the game’s most beloved stars. It appears that Ochocinco really has turned it around since signing with the Pats. He has been nothing but smiles in his two group media sessions in camp. He has nothing but praise for Tom Brady and fellow receivers. Apparently he really does feel that he has landed in heaven. I expect a rejuvenated Ochocinco to become a serious weapon. He will most likely never approach the way he played in his prime but then again we all said that about Moss when he came to town.
Eventually he will become a distraction again when the hype is gone but this year he is a very motivated and very talented wide out. And to that lucky fan who will be playing Chad in Madden: when you get in the end zone please don’t hesitate to celebrate.
