This Saturday, the Giants 1st overall draft pick Prince Amukamara fractured his foot. The injury will require surgery and the team has listed him as indefinite to return. The New York Football Giants were already filled with question marks this off season following the release of TE Kevin Boss. The injury to Prince could really cost the Giants as some broken foot injuries can take up to 12 weeks to properly heal. A team already thin at CB will struggle to compete with Prince more than likely missing at least a few weeks this season.
As if things couldn’t get worse that Ben Patrick, the TE brought in to potentially fill Boss’ place has no stated that he, “No longer wants to play football.” Eli Manning is lacking targets and his aversion to re-signing Plaxico may prove to be a bad play. Right now the only Giants category I can rely on at this point is that Eli will certainly continue to throw interceptions. (Via Mike Mazzeo, ESPN)
